Meet Anne Goldberg

We elders have had to learn a whole new way of communicating, learning, getting medical care and so much more. Somehow though, most of it came easily to her and she has grown with technology since the 1980's.

Anne's superpower is not that she knows everything about tech. It's that she is expert at communicating complex tech concepts to seniors in a way that is understood. Teaching tech to seniors was not on Anne's radar In 2013.

However, six out-of-the-blue phone calls from seniors who all said about the same thing, "I don't remember who told me, but I heard you teach seniors computers. Can you help me?" was enough to change the trajectory of her life.

Anne reinvented herself at 61 and became Anne Goldberg, The Savvy Senior.

Since then, she has been the go-to instructor for thousands of students across South Florida - ranging in age from 65 to 103 - at independent and assisted living residences, 55+ communities and senior centers from Cutler Bay to Port St. Lucie.

Born in 1952, Anne am a Baby Boomer like you (or your parents.) Having been born in the only generation that has had to move from a strictly analog world to a digital one has had significant challenges. We elders have had to learn a whole new way of communicating, learning, getting medical care and so much more. Somehow though, most of it came easily to her and she has grown with technology since the 1980's.

In September 2025, at 73, she published her first book, Take This Phone And Shove It! A Frustrated Senior's Guide to Smartphones, an Amazon best-seller. The book is a compilation of all the classes taught over the years.  It's about how smartphones help seniors to live better, stay connected with friends and family and improve cognitive skills. Since technology is such an important part of the future, being tech literate is an important part of all of our futures. Anne has spread the gospel of smartphones on podcasts, radio and television (see Media page) and even appeared on The Today Show in March promoting the book.

The impact was noticed, because in May 2026 she was invited as a featured panelist at the Alliance for Aging Conference in Miami. The event, themed "Aging in the Age of AI" focused on how cutting-edge technology can keep seniors safe, healthy and independent in their own homes. Inspired by those discussions, Anne is now broadening her commitment to senior independence by expanding her business to include comprehensive Aging in Place (AIP) solutions. While she remains fully devoted to helping seniors go from wanting to shove their phones to loving them, she is excited to help them safely navigate the next chapter of independent living.

Earlier in life, Anne spent 23 years as an executive recruiter in New York and then in Florida. Since coming to the Sunshine State in 1986, she became the mother of two sons, and grandmother to three beautiful girls. Anne lives in Boca Raton with her beloved, David Hall, two cats, Carl and Fibonacci, plus our parakeet, Itty Bitty.

My goal over this decade-plus has always been to inspire seniors of any age to live life fully, embrace knowledge and new technology to stay current and connected.  Because age is just a number, I want all seniors to know we are not defined by their age!  We are old enough to have a past and young enough to have a future!

Let's create a connected, happy and healthy future together!
